Commercial / Corporate Account Handlers (Birmingham)

Chartered independent insurance brokers Adler Fairways are looking for Account Handlers to join our team in the Midlands. The vacancies exist within an established team that provides a professional service to clients whilst maintaining a sociable working environment. Our continued growth has created these opportunities.

The Account Handler role is essential within the company – you will be the primary point of contact for all day-to-day client services. You will work alongside the Account Executive team, responsible for servicing client accounts with a particular focus on the renewal process. You will liaise with client decision makers as well as the insurer market to negotiate favourable terms for all concerned to secure client retention.

The role will require you to prepare presentations for insurers and clients as well as relevant paperwork, reports, documents, etc. The mix of administrative duties as well as interaction with clients and suppliers means no two days are the same in this role.

Salary variable depending on experience and qualifications.

Account Executives (Birmingham)

Adler Fairways Chartered insurance brokers are looking for an Account Executive to join our growing team in Birmingham.

The Account Executive role is essential within the company – you will be the primary point of contact for all client services issues.

Key duties include:

  • Providing your clients with day to day technical and administrative support
  • Understanding your clients demands and needs
  • Broking into the correct insurer market
  • Maintaining accurate data and documentation
  • Working on your own initiative and prioritising client’s queries effectively
  • Obtaining technical knowledge within the specialist areas

In order to be successful in this role, you have some previous experience within the commercial insurance broking sector.

You must be enthusiastic, personable and confident, always taking care to ensure professional relationships are maintained with your clients, our insurer partners and colleagues and in exchange we will provide full support within a rewarding environment.

Compliance Officer (Birmingham)

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Compliance Manager will act as an independent individual and will be primarily responsible for ensuring that our business processes, transactions, and corporate governance follow all relevant regulatory, legal, and internal guidelines. Your duties will include reviewing employee work, developing company policies, and responding to policy violations, ensuring our operations are FCA compliant.

The ideal candidate will be professional, highly analytical, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with several years of experience in a similar role. To prosper in this role, you should be fluent in risk management, FCA regulations and our industry’s principles.

  • An approved person for the company
  • Evaluate, investigate, and resolve compliance and corporate governance issues
  • Produce monthly compliance report
  • Deal with and resolve incoming complaints within the desired timescales
  • Responsible for the recording and notification to relevant parties of internal breaches
  • Control relationship with compliance consultants
  • Liaise with managers from a compliance prospective to ensure audits and file monitoring are being processed in a timely fashion
  • Ensure that all advice and operations remain FCA compliant
  • Stay abreast of regulatory and market changes
  • Be the key referral point for external legal and compliance assistance
  • Participate in the due diligence activities of the M&A Programme
  • Secretary to the Compliance Committee
  • Horizon scanning of regulatory matters
  • Provide compliance support for all employees
